The Queens Park Nature Centre upgrade master plan represents a design-led approach between Ipswich City Council and Vee Design that interweaves cultural heritage, ecology, and education.

As South East Queensland’s only known free zoo it is Ipswich’s number 1 tourist attraction. Situated in the heart of the city along Queen Victoria Parade, the Nature Centre is nestled in the Heritage-listed Queens Park which is also home to the historic nursery, Environmental Education Centre and café, and the Japanese Nerima Gardens. Vee Design’s master plan realigns the pedestrian circulation network to provide for seamless integration between all these community amenities. Re-imagining the public interface to the existing Nursery and creating a new Discovery Hub increases economic viability.

great design comes from exploring and testing all possibilities

Our purpose is simple, yet powerful.
