Michael is a mature-age student Landscape Architect at Vee Design currently studying Landscape Architecture at QUT. A skilled horticulturalist, Michael’s botanical knowledge extends to palm specialisation, native plants, microclimates and the principles of biophilic design. Michael has a strong background in 3D modelling and computer animation, bringing his unique flare to the team.
Major contributions Michael has brought to the team include keystone projects such as the Redlands Coast Sport and Recreational Precinct, utilising his 3D modelling skills to provide a clear visual communication of key project elements. Michaels extensive plant knowledge have greatly enhanced Vee’s contributions to the Mountain Park Springfield Rise and Jingeri Park Shoreline Projects, both of which required extensive planting and unique biota input.
A true green thumb, Michael loves immersing himself in the garden, whether it be his own, or helping others transform their spaces into a green oasis, he propagates plants by seed, cuttings or grafting and loves experimenting for fun. Michael has a specific interest for the unusual and is familiar with a multitude of odd and interesting plants. Michael also enjoys exploring new and exciting places, often travelling locally, nationally or overseas – and of course, frothing on the varying landscapes and flora while he’s there!
