Please note:

Staging:

We have based this proposal on one continuous documentation and construction process. If the project is to be staged differently we would reserve the right to renegotiate our fees accordingly.

Design amendments:

All stages of design and documentation are costed based on one amendment issue. Upon receipt of comments to draft plans and details, we will amend the plans once only. Any further changes (and subsequent documentation changes) to the design as a result of consultant / client requests will be charged at an hourly rate basis. Estimate of additional time may be provided if requested by the client.

Fees and charges:

We have made no allowance for the payment of fees or charges required for Local Authority or State Government approvals.

Marketing materials:

We have not allowed for the provision of large format (larger than A3), perspectives, fly throughs, models or graphic materials suitable for marketing. These may be provided if requested, for a negotiable fee.

Local authority amendments:

Please note that design amendments to our client approved Landscape Report as a result of Local Authority feedback will be undertaken at an hourly rate. Request for Information responses to Local Authorities or Referral Agencies will be undertaken at an hourly rate.

Stormwater services:

We have made no allowance for provision of stormwater, catchment calculations, subsurface drainage connections or specifications. We would cover sub soil drainage to softworks areas, and input to location of surface pits from a visual perspective.

Structural services:

All structural elements, footings, walls in to be reviewed and certified by Structural Engineer.

Electrical services:

Electrical reticulation and code lighting design requirements to be designed and documented by an electrical engineer.

Irrigation design:

We have made no allowance for the provision of irrigation design in our fees. We can provide for an irrigation performance specification as part of our technical specifications, however detailed irrigation design would be by others.

General

Unless stated otherwise, our terms of engagement are based on the RAIA Standard Terms for client/consultant agreements.

Copyright

Vee Design Pty Ltd retains copyright in all documents & drawings it produces and in any works executed from those documents & drawings.

Client Supplied Information

The client is to provide, at its own expense, all relevant information regarding the site including but not limited to electronic CAD base plans, detailed existing survey plans, briefing material, budget and all other requirements for the project prior to the commencement of the commission.

GST

GST has not been included in fees, hourly rates and reimbursements stated in this proposal. Amount of GST payable will be indicated on issued Tax Invoices.

Insurances

Vee Design holds Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $20,000,000.00 affected through Jardine Insurance Aust Ltd T/a CGU– Policy Number 03CON1887158

Certificates of Currency can be provided upon request.

Moral Rights

Vee Design must be attributed, as the landscape architects, in any public communication of information about the project whether the project is complete or not.

Terms of Payment

Invoices will be due for payment within 14 days of the Date of Invoice. Late payments will be charged interest at 10% per annum, calculated daily, from the due date of the payment. Vee Design reserves the right to suspend services if payment in relation to an invoice is overdue.

Travel Costs

Unless otherwise stated, any other reasonably made expenses in connection with the commission, including travel costs; flights, transfers, accommodation and meals will be charged at cost plus 10% administration fee.

Validity

This proposal is valid for 2 months, after this period the Client will need to confirm with Vee Design whether this fee proposal is still valid.

It is anticipated that these works outlined in our proposal will be completed within twelve months from the date of acceptance. If the work is not complete within a twelve month period, we reserve the right to re-negotiate our remaining fees.

Variations to Scope of Service

Should you wish to vary our scope of services or deliverables, the project budget or programming or phasing, we reserve the right to offer the additional services or deliverables as a variation to this fee proposal. Vee Design reserves the right to re-negotiate once finalised construction costs have been established. Should you wish to terminate the proposal once Vee Design has been engaged, only work to date will be charged.

Confirmation of Engagement

If you are in agreement with this proposal, please confirm your concurrence by signing this letter below. If Vee Design is instructed to proceed with work without written acceptance of this proposal, it will be assumed that the proposal is accepted in full.
