Since 2015, Vee Design has been working on Maroochydore Town Centre as part of the MC3 collaborative partnership with Tract Consultants. The project has been master-planned over an extensive consultation process with Sunshine Coast Council, and with Sun Central Maroochydore as the development arm of Council bringing the project to fruition.

Stage 1A of the project was completed in 2019. This stage of the project will included the streetscapes that make up the CBD area of the overall project and Urban Square, a 1ha parkland in the centre of the CBD. Future stages will include a second parkland in the CBD – the Civic Park (the site of the driving range of the former Horton Park Golf Course, now rehoused to Bli Bli) – that will house an architecturally designed arbor, zero depth water features, and large plaza space for civic gatherings.

The larger project will eventually include 15 ha of recreational open space parklands around a lake, medium density and mixed use urban spaces with associated parklands, and the centre piece of the whole project is the Corso, a Southbank like public realm urban landscape either side of a water course that transects the site.
Vee Design has been integral to the delivery of the project, with our Sunshine Coast office project managing and documenting all of Stage 1 to date.
