Located within Roma Street Parklands is the historically exposed rock escarpment. Due to increasing safety concerns, Vee Design was commissioned to deliver effective design solution for this high use area, that addresses and treats the concerning issues of erosion, rock fall and inundation, while improving the visual amenity of the site and reinforcing the iconic identity and character of Roma Street Parklands.

Through the use of articulated insitu walls and steel catch barrier fence with icon leaf perforations. Vee proposed a language that respected and enhanced the existing rock escarpment, whilst ensuring pedestrian safety, legibility and movement wasn’t compromised.
